Elisa Carisi

I come from Sicily, Italy, but I’ve been always travelling since I was legally allowed to.

I started tattooing literally on the streets and kept doing it on my friends in the squats where we were living since ‘98 circa. 

I worked for the first time in a tattoo studio here in Berlin in 2002, but I started tattooing professionally and every day only in 2009 in Rome at the Swan

Song Tattoo, where I stayed for 10 years.

There I learned everything I know about traditional tattoos. These are the foundations on which I base my designs, although I give them my own personal touch. 

In addition to traditional American and Japanese tattoos, I feel very inspired by Tibetan art, which I find perfectly translatable into tattooing.
